I’m Miriam Bayés Genís, a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with more than 30 years of executive leadership experience across healthcare, science, and the corporate world. My journey began as a medical doctor and clinical researcher, where I learned to navigate complexity, lead multidisciplinary teams, and make evidence-based decisions. Over time, my focus shifted from managing systems to empowering people. Today, I specialize in coaching individuals and teams to unlock leadership potential, navigate uncertainty, and grow through transformation. I draw on my solid grounding in neuroscience, systems thinking, and complexity science to help professionals develop clarity, resilience, and meaningful impact. Based in Barcelona, and having lived and worked in Switzerland and the U.S., I bring a global mindset and deep intercultural awareness to my work. I’m passionate about helping leaders grow — not just in competence, but in consciousness.

Work experience

Miriam Bayés Genís is a highly experienced executive with over 30 years in leadership roles across scientific, healthcare, and corporate sectors. She is currently a Leadership Expert, Consultant, Mentor & Coach at Motivate, Build & Grow in Barcelona, where she designs and facilitates training programs on leadership and complexity, including ICF-accredited courses. She also directs a postgraduate leadership course for healthcare professionals and works with C-level executives on coaching, mentoring, burnout, and impostor syndrome. Previously, Miriam held executive roles at Thomson Reuters in both Europe and the U.S., serving as: Medical Director & Life Science's Asset Owner, focusing on market expansion, GTM strategies, and innovation through data integration. Medical Affairs Liaison Officer, where she led global teams, developed KOL networks (notably with Harvard Medical School), and launched innovative scientific databases and education solutions. Her career began in medicine as an MD/PhD and Clinical Pharmacologist at Hospital Sant Pau in Barcelona, where she led clinical trials, managed quality systems (ISO9001), and served on an ethics committee.
